About
Val di Mello has become internationally visible to the climbing community during the last few years because of its incredible climbing and bouldering areas and also because of the climbing festival Melloblocco. The area is divided into three different valleys; Val Masino, Valle dei Bagni and the actual Val di Mello, which was declared a natural reserve in 2009. Having three different areas means that bouldering here also includes walking and hiking across said valleys. These are home to hundreds of boulders ranging from 6A to 8B, so all climbing abilities are more than welcome in the area!

location
We will visit two areas during this activity. Val dei Bagni is easy to access but may be unclimbable after rain, whereas Val di Mello can take 60 minutes to walk to, but it is worth it once we arrive, as the area is enormous, quick drying and home to some of the most aesthetic climbing in the world…
Who is this activity for?
Val di Mello usually refers to a group of three valleys. Throughout these valleys are some of the most extensive and most famous boulders in the world; there are a huge number of fantastic boulders, with problems suitable for any level of climber!

Adventure plan
Day 1:
Welcome to Italy! Shortly after arriving at the airport you will be picked up by our transport and driven to the accommodation, close to the bouldering site. Once there, we’ll do an initial briefing to go over the plan and aims of the weekend.
Day 2:
Rise and shine — the first day of bouldering is about to begin (about 8 hours). We’ll drive you out to the boulders, making a quick stop at a local grocery store to buy packed lunch. Upon arrival at the activity site, the No Boundaries Team will guide you around the area. At the end of the day you’ll be driven back to the accommodation for an evening of hearty food and swapping stories — everything you need to get ready for another day of crushing problems!
Day 3:
Another day of amazing bouldering (about 6 hours). As on Day 2, we'll buy packed lunch on the way. You'll head over to the boulders to try new challenges and sort out any unfinished business with the rocks! At the end of the second day of climbing, you’ll be driven back to airport. We’ll say goodbye and you'll take your flight back, with thoroughly worn out skin and, with any luck, a load of photos of you crushing Italian boulders to show off to your friends at home. Serious bragging rights.
(Please note that variations due to weather, number of participants and coaches’ availability are possible. You will be given a detailed plan for the week upon your arrival).
