SOME OF THE ACTIVITIES YOU CAN ENJOY WITH NO BOUNDARIES
Canyoning uses skill sets from a variety of mountain disciplines to descend and traverse wild or otherwise unreachable terrain in the mountains. Encountering obstacles such as waterfalls, fast flowing water and Rapids, sheers drops, rocks and boulders to scramble over, under and around. It is an adventure and a journey into the mountains few people get to glimpse. Tools of the trade can include; wet suit, harness, helmet, descender and belay devices, ropes, slings, karabiners, dry bag.
Via Ferrata is an aided route across rocky and mountainous terrain. Climbing aides can include; iron rungs, pegs and carved steps. In some instances ladders and bridges enable ascents or crossings. This wonderful climbing experience is favoured by diehard climbers and novices alike. For the novice there is the opportunity to reach peaks and cross a beautiful but inhospitable landscape. Experienced climbers and mountaineers can cover huge stretches of ground with minimal equipment, utilise fewer technical skills reaching summits or traversing ranges and even tackle routes solo with minimal risks.
SKI & SNOWBOARD
At the heart our winter program you'll find Ski & Snowboarding activities. We don't want price to be a barrier to participation and our motto is 'affordability'. The mountains are for everyone and they are particularly beautiful in wintertime. Join us at a wonderful European ski resort; get out on the slopes, take in staggering scenery and get away from day-to-day routines by escaping to the mountains.
Hiking along pre-chartered trails the pace set by two feet and a heartbeat allows us to take in the full breath and beauty of the nature and the surroundings. A hike can be a full days excursion and may require some navigation by twilight or at night. Tools of the trade; appropriate footwear for the terrain, functional layers of clothing for potential weather systems, maps/ route description, backpack, food and water rations, head-torch.
Sport climbing uses fixed gear on the rock to protect climbers falls. Anchors are placed at the top of pitches for descent or as stances on longer routes. Bolts are used to protect lines which otherwise couldn't be climbed using natural protection or Traditional climbing methods. Tools of the trade include; Harness, helmet, rack of quick-draws, karabiners, belay device, rope, slings, climbing shoes, chalk and a thirst for adventure.
Alpinism is seen by purists as the classic model for climbing. Self-sufficient, minimal technical gear to surmount obstacles, carrying all provisions for shelter and nourishment. An adventure in pursuit of a peak, we follow in the footsteps of giants amongst unrivalled beauty with only our wits and each other to find a single point in space. Moving fast, travelling light and making good decisions based on Mother Natures mood are well regarded traits in the community of alpine climbers.
Ski Touring is another winter option. Generally touring takes place off-piste and outside of ski resorts. It can involve skiing uphill as well as descents and may be more than one days travel. With No Boundaries Adventures you can attend courses or expeditions, enabling you to safely explore your limits, indulge your sense of adventure while encountering the mountains like never before.
